Monster Buffet

So, I am back....a month has past since my last post ! YIKES!  A lot has happened since then, craft show #1 {the 3 day blitz} was a HUGE success and the preparations for my son's 4th birthday party were completed and in the bag.

I took to baking up some special treats for my guy to share with his little buddies and any of their mom's who chose to stay and play. It seemed a perfect fit hosting a Little Monster Party seeing as a halloween celebration had just taken way at school on the same day. What better way for the kids to enjoy their costumes a little  bit longer.
The transformer, the hamburger, the old western ranger...all suited up and ready for danger!
Goobly gook, and gross gumbo-
 everybody's tummies started to rumble-
To the kitchen we went to face our lunch
Who wants more ghoulish punch?

A Different Kind of Baking

I can't believe it's already October, and my first major craft show of the year is in less than THREE WEEKS!  Needless to say I have been baking my heart out - but of tantilizing eye candy of a different nature...

polymer clay festive ornaments.

(Okay...so these ones aren't so festive, but I love them!)

Ode to PaperGlitter

Halloween Party Kit- EDITABLE TEXT Printable PDF

Halloween is fast approaching and having said that so is my son's 4th birthday!  I live for hosting my children's parties, what a great opportunity to have fun and allow my creative juices to flow!  My life is made substantially easier though with the help of a very talented gal Linnette {Owner of Paperglitter.com}.  She's SUPER creative, and has amazingly cute original graphics designed by herself! WOW!

Don't Worry... Be Happy!

My daughter started grade 1 yesterday, and was a little nervous about how it would all go. What better opportunity to bake a little sunshine for her to lift her spirits!

The Way it All Began...

I suppose my true roots for the the desire to bake and create lie in part due to the days spent in the care of my Dad and Grandmother when I was sick from school.  If I couldn't go to it, it would come to me (or at least this is the way my father saw it).  There was never a day when we didn't bake or cook something - after all the culinary and confectionary arts were only glorified  mathematics and science lessons, just a whole lot tastier!

OMG! I have a blog....better get baking

Well...in an effort to give myself purpose and actually stay true to one of my life long loves I have launched this blog to share with all of you my baking feats and disasters.  Good ideas and what seemed like good ideas at the time.

So, I will sign out tonight now that I figured out this template and return shortly with some delicious treats for your eyes and baking recipe boxes alike.

Sweet Dreams!
