Super Mom Seeks Job, Salary WELCOME!
Another year over, 2011 is done and gone - it's time for a fresh start...what's on the bucket list? To be quite frank I hadn't a clue about "bucket" lists until a few years ago. I don't have a formal one, perhaps I need to start because then if I have it in writing maybe I'd stay on track better and not let my mind wander so easily from idea to idea. Call it what you will, ADD, ADHD, OCD...or perhaps it's simply because of my trying to keep track of everyone's activitites and the hubbies travel schedule amidst trying to keep myself together {and the house and all it encompasses}.

Gingerbread Play Dough
Both my children began their Christmas break on Dec 23 and all joking aside, about 2 hours after they awoke my son made the official announcement..."I'M BORED!!! THERE IS NOTHING TO DO." Seriously, you have been awake for 2 hours on your first day of Christmas break and this is how we start off? Oh boy! In my madness and desperation to finish up my own baking to share with family and friends in the following weeks I had to think fast...what could we do? So, I resorted to a never fail staple in my house (...for me): May I (re)introduce Callye (yes, again...) from The Sweet Adventures of Sugarbelle and her WONDERFUL festive spin on an old necessity for parents of small children - PLAY DOUGH... but not your everyday playdough, G-I-N-G-E-R-B-R-E-A-D scented. Note how I said scented, NOT flavoured, yup...still tastes gross, so don't let your little kiddies eat it... {or the dog}.

I was featured on PaperGlitter!
Not to sound like some crazy creepy stalker type...but Linnette {over at Paperglitter} featured me, ME! {shriek! - I'm so geeky!} And with this great honour she has set the stakes EXTREMELY high for me now...as a feature in her post today she highlighted my little guy's halloween birthday party from last year! It's all good...birthdays...they happen once each year...at the same...which means WE'RE HAVING ANOTHER HALLOWEEN PARTY this weekend! Simmer down! I promise I will share with you once it's all done and I have fixed up my pictures. I have been working on Ethan's concept for a while now (which you already now), prebaking a lot of the goodies because {Yes, I am crazy..but that's besides the point} I like to do all the treats myself!

Halloween Sweet Bootique Party
Once again, I am so excited to start planning my son's birthday party...being an early November baby he has requested for the past 2 years to host a Halloween themed party. And...to help me out in this department is one of my favorite people {and I am dead serious} Linnette from Paperglitter. She has created a super fun new halloween line up from customizable kid currency,

Back to School Treat!
So, my kids here will be returning to school in 1 week...us Manitobans are behind our southern friends and so I thought this little treat would be a perfect start to a new year for them. I admit, I did not invent this idea but rather came across it on quest to find a school bus clipart to use as a template for some sugar cookies for next weeks local Farmers' Market {seriously - why reinvent the wheel right?}. This perfectly fantastic idea came from a fellow blogger Simply J Studio.
